Trauma doesn’t end when the flames are out or the sirens fade.
Our Trauma Support Team is dedicated to providing immediate
and ongoing emotional and psychological care to individuals
and families affected by traumatic events, including accidents,
violence, loss, and other crises. We understand that trauma
impacts every person differently, and our compassionate
team offers personalized support tailored to each
survivor’s unique needs. Through crisis intervention,
counseling, and community outreach, we strive to create
a safe space where healing can begin and hope can be restored.
We work closely with medical professionals, social workers,
and local organizations to ensure comprehensive care
and follow-up, empowering survivors to reclaim their lives
with strength and resilience.
Special Victims Unit (SVU)
×
Dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable in our communities.
Our Special Victims Unit stands as a pillar of hope and safety for those who have suffered deeply
personal and often invisible trauma. We provide compassionate support and advocacy for:
Victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and missing persons — ensuring they
are heard, believed, and supported through every step of their healing journey.
Children, the elderly, and individuals with physical or mental disabilities who have experienced
abuse, neglect, or exploitation — offering them specialized care and protection tailored to their unique
needs.
Survivors navigating complex systems — including police investigations, medical procedures, and legal
processes — guiding them with dignity, respect, and unwavering commitment.
Our SVU team works collaboratively with law enforcement, social workers, medical professionals, and legal
experts to ensure every survivor receives the justice, care, and support they deserve.

Projects

We believe prevention is just as vital as intervention.
Our projects include:
Light Up Benoni
A festive community project that encourages residents, businesses, and schools to decorate their homes
and premises with Christmas lights during December to reignite the holiday spirit. Light Up Benoni aims to
bring joy, unity, and hope to the community by creating a city-wide celebration of light and togetherness
— reminding everyone that even in difficult times, the spirit of giving and joy can shine brightly.
Bully Boxes
Anonymous drop boxes placed in schools to give learners a safe and private way to report bullying, abuse,
or emotional distress. These reports enable early intervention by school staff — and where necessary, PRS
Angels steps in to provide additional support, guidance, and trauma-informed care to the child and their
family.
